Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about how RiddimDJ Pro works with your Serato library.
Does RiddimDJ Pro work with Serato?
Yes, it is built Serato-native. It reads and writes your Serato crates, tags and cue points directly, so your library stays where it is. Quit Serato before running a write operation: Serato holds crate files open and will overwrite changes on quit.
Will it break my library or wipe my cue points?
No. Writes are additive and cue points are merged, not replaced. That said, the honest advice with any tool that touches a DJ library is the same: back up your Serato folder before the first run. It takes a minute and it is the difference between a bad night and a non-event.
Is RiddimDJ Pro free?
No. It is a paid subscription for macOS: $25 per month. Cancel any time from your customer portal; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
What is a riddim, and why tag by it?
In dancehall and reggae, a riddim is the instrumental that dozens of different vocal tracks are built on. Tagging by riddim is what lets you juggle, playing several songs over the same instrumental back to back. No mainstream DJ library tool understands this; that is the gap this fills.
Which Macs does it run on?
macOS on both Apple Silicon and Intel. Windows is not supported.
Does it need internet access?
For riddim lookups and popularity scoring, yes. Local analysis, meaning energy scoring, beat grids and cue placement, runs entirely on your machine.
Do you upload my music anywhere?
No. Your audio files never leave your computer. Only track metadata such as artist and title is sent for riddim and popularity lookups. See the Privacy Policy for detail.
How many tracks can it handle?
It is developed against a working library of roughly 200,000 tracks, so a few thousand is not a concern.
Can I use it on more than one computer?
Your licence covers your own machines. See the EULA for the exact terms.
Do you offer refunds?
No. All sales are final, including renewals. You can cancel any time from your customer portal, which stops future charges and leaves you access until the end of the period you paid for. If something is broken, email support before you cancel; most cancellations are a fixable bug.
