RiddimDJ Pro exists because general-purpose DJ software has never understood how dancehall and reggae selectors actually work.
The problem nobody else was solving
Every mainstream DJ library tool organises music the way rock and pop are organised: artist, album, genre, BPM. That model breaks the moment you play dancehall. In this music the unit that matters is the riddim, the instrumental that thirty different vocal tracks sit on top of. Selectors juggle those tracks. No library tool could see it, so every selector built the same tagging system by hand, over and over, one track at a time.
How it got built
RiddimDJ Pro started as a set of scripts written between gigs to solve one problem at a time first riddim tagging, then energy scoring, then beat grids on old rips that drift, then crate ordering that actually flows. Each tool exists because a real night created the pain. The development library is the owner's own working collection of roughly 200,000 tracks, which means every feature is tested against real-world mess: bad rips, missing tags, inconsistent naming, duplicate versions.
What we will not do
- We do not distribute music. RiddimDJ Pro organises files you already own. It is not a download source and never will be.
- We do not claim to replace Serato. It is a prep tool that feeds Serato.
- We do not fake the culture. Dancehall and reggae references are accurate or they are absent.
